This build is 32-bit ARM only. Phones released from roughly 2025 — including the Galaxy S25 family and anything on a Snapdragon 8 Elite — dropped 32-bit support in hardware and cannot install it. Older and mid-range Android phones generally still can.

No expansion file to install

This game normally splits itself in two: a small app, and a 170 MB expansion file you had to drop into a specific folder by hand — which Android 11 and later will not even let most apps do. This build carries its data inside itself, so there is one file and nothing to place. If you have seen instructions elsewhere about an .obb, they do not apply here.

The account name is the only key

There are no passwords on the server yet. The login screen reads that field and ignores it, which makes the name you type the whole of your identity here: pick something nobody would guess and keep it to yourself, because anyone who types it gets your characters. Checking a credential properly is a beta job we have not finished.

A Groot ID is not part of this. It signs you in on this site and records a pre-registration for the full launch; the game has never heard of it.

Installing

Step 1

Allow installing from your browser. Android calls it Install unknown apps, per-app, in Settings. This build is signed by us rather than by Google Play, so Android will warn you — expected for any private-server client.

Step 2

Open the downloaded file and install it. It is a large download, so give it a moment on a slow connection.

Step 3

Open the game, tap the screen, and type an account name. The password field is not checked yet, so anything goes in it, including nothing. Your characters are saved under whatever name you chose.

Check what you downloaded

A truncated download looks like a broken game rather than a broken file, so it is worth a moment:

Android only. There is no Windows client — this world runs on the mobile client, and the ruleset page says what it does and does not have yet.
